My company is a small manufacturer that does a lot of Consumer Packaged Goods (CPGs) in the food and health sectors. We’re doing well but really struggle to get the word out. Most new business comes locally and through word of mouth. We don’t have a formal marketing plan, and consultants have been useless.

How do you guys get new business, and how do you market what you do?

I’m looking into the rotational molding process and was wondering if it possible to mold large diameter threads? I’m specifically looking a 3.5 in. internal and external acme threads.

I’m sure a lot has to do with material type and temps, (all of which aren’t determined yet, sorry)

I just want to get a feel for if plastic rotomolding threads are even a possibility before I start designing.

Any advice is much appreciated!

Hello, I’m not sure if this is the right sub, but I’ve had a question looming in my head for some time now.

If someone wanted to start manufacturing their own kind of computers/servers, would they be going through existing motherboard companies like ASUS for a main board in all their machines? Or would they have their own PCB/mobo designed and then made for each machine?

Seems like for this specific scenario, making your own would be a lot more hassle than it’s worth. You’d need to make sure to watch out for compatibility for CPU sockets and ect. You’d probably need to also write your own BIOS for all of that.
