Exploring CBD Flower

Get into any cannabis discussion forums today, and you’ll see people talking about CBD flower, also known as CBD buds or hemp buds.

What is CBD flower? How should I use it? Is it better than CBD oil? These are some of the questions you’ll come across.

If you have similar concerns, you have come to the right place since, in this guide, we will let you know all there is about CBD flower, what it is, how to consume it, etc.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re new or a veteran CBD user, you’ll learn a thing or two regarding this form of CBD that’s slowly revolutionizing the cannabis sector.

What Is CBD Flower?

CBD flower is a Cannabis Sativa flower that has less than 0.3% THC.

So, yes, you can vape or smoke CBD flowers without getting high.

In addition to CBD, CBD buds also contain other cannabinoids such as CBG, CBC, CBN, plus terpenes, flavonoids, and other helpful compounds existing naturally in the cannabis plant.

Consuming a CBD flower rich in all these compounds, delivers the benefits of the whole cannabis plant into your body, also known as the entourage effect.

One of the reasons why some people prefer CBD flower to, for example, CBD oil is because hemp flowers don’t have to go through the rigorous extraction process as some CBD oil products.

If poorly done, the extraction process that CBD oil usually goes through may damage the chemical integrity of the cannabinoid or destroy the plant’s natural waxes, which are said to have additional health benefits.

This is not the case with CBD buds as they are simply harvested, dried, and packaged ready for sale.

This means that CBD flowers may contain a higher concentration of the plant’s natural compounds.

How To Use CBD Flower

Wondering what to do with your flower? There’re several ways that you can use to deliver CBD into your system:

  • Smoke the flowers
  • Vape the buds
  • Make edibles
  • Making CBD oil from hemp flower.

In other words, there is no limit on how you can use CBD flower- go wild with your creativity.

However, there’s something you need to understand;

Dried, raw, and cured cannabis or hemp flower mostly contains CBDA, which is the acidic pre-curser form of CBD.

To activate CBD and other compounds in the hemp plant that are in a pre-curser state, you need to heat your flowers.

This is where we talk about decarboxylation or decarbing.

As mentioned, decarboxylation involves converting CBDA into CBD through heat.

CBDA is automatically turned to CBD when you vape or smoke a CBD flower.

However, if you want to ingest CBD flower in edible, dry capsules, etc., you need to heat the buds first.

How To Decarboxylate Your CBD Bud

  • Preheat your oven to 250 F.
  • Use a herb grinder to grind your buds. Alternatively, use your hands to break your flowers into small pieces.
  • Spread the pieces onto a baking tray (spread it evenly to ensure a thin layer) and then place your tray in the oven.
  • Allow it to bake for around 35 to 40 minutes then allow it to cool down

If you achieved brownish hemp flowers, which feels dry to the touch, you’ve successfully decarbed your CBD flowers (CBDA has converted to CBD) and can make them into any form of CBD product; CBD oils, cakes, dry herb CBD capsules, etc.

The Try The CBD Difference

Although smoking or vaping CBD flowers deliver CBD directly into your bloodstream hence instant results, it still has its challenges.

For one, it’s hard to maintain consistent dosing with CBD flowers. This is because CBD flowers don’t typically come with a specific recommended dose.

Also, not everyone will fancy smoking or going through all the trouble to convert CBDA into CBD.

At Try The CBD, we don’t sell CBD flowers, but their refined forms. This means that you can still get all the benefits of the CBD flower, but more conveniently and easily.

Don’t know how to dose CBD flowers or how to store them properly to maintain their potency? Or do you just want something that you can easily use on the go without drawing unnecessary attention to yourself?

With our CBD vape juice, you get all the benefits of the CBD flower in addition to all these.

In essence, you’ll still be vaping the CBD flower, but now in a more convenient, discrete, and cleaner option.

There is more;

Unlike most CBD oil companies who use PG and VG as the carrier oil, we’ve our CBD vape oil in an MCT oil base and all Natural Botanical Terps to mimic popular cannabis strains.

This means that you can safely ingest this product as well- not limited to vaping alone!

Nothing beats the luxury of our disposable CBD vape pen; slim, rechargeable, discrete, and has everything you need to start vaping right out of the box.

It’s pre-filled with 100% THC-free CBD and uses food-grade TEC temper as the carrier oil.

Like all our other products, this vape pen contains no Propylene Glycol (PG), Vegetable Glycerin (VG), Solvents, or Vitamin E Acetate.

If you run out of power before you have used up all the CBD oil, simply use a micro USB power cord to recharge.

You don’t have to worry about lifetime maintenance; you simply throw away the vape pen once you’ve depleted its contents!

Should I Smoke CBD Flower Or Vape CBD?

Both vaping and smoking CBD offers the highest CBD bioavailability.

CBD bioavailability refers to the amount of CBD available for use by the body.

Vaping and smoking offer the highest bioavailability since they deliver CBD directly to the bloodstream hence bypassing the digestive system and the first-pass effect.

However, vaping may be a better option since it doesn’t involve burning the flowers. This means that you don’t inhale the smoke, which may harm the respiratory system.

Vaping is also more discrete than smoking if you go for the modern vape pen and cartridges.

Although hemp-derived CBD is legal in the US, some people still associate it with the infamous cannabis high (caused by THC).

If you would want to maintain a low-profile while using CBD, then vaping is the way to go.

Vape juice is also odorless and produces no smoke- perfect for both outdoor and indoor settings.

Not to mention that you can customize your vaping experience by adjusting temperature settings.

Is CBD Flower Or CBD Vape Juice Legal?

When it comes to the legality of cannabis products, it’s not about how they are consumed, rather, what they contain.

Both CBD flower and CBD vape juice are legal as long as they contain less than 0.3% THC.

Final Words

CBD flower refers to the dry cannabis buds with less than 0.3% THC. They can either be vaped, smoked, or mixed with food and drinks.

Still, you can go for more compact and discrete options of consuming CBD by using CBD vape oils, pens, and cartridges- the same benefits of the natural CBD flower, but in a more convenient form.

Have you smoked or vaped CBD? Tell us about your experience in the comment section below. Or just ask us any question regarding any form of CBD products!

Case Reports

B C Anzali et al. Acta Gastroenterol Belg. .

Background: Biliary system ascariasis can be a rare cause of acute abdomen.

Patient report: A 70-year-old woman presented with abdominal pain for two weeks. She complained of a right upper quadrant (RUQ) pain, intermittent vomiting and weight loss. Physical examination showed RUQ and epigastric tenderness without rebound tenderness or guarding. Laboratory finding exhibited leukocytosis and mildly elevated liver enzymes.

Results: Abdominal sonography showed distended gallbladder and a tubular lesion inside the common bile duct (CBD) in favor of a parasitic lesion. A large ascaris roundworm and blood clots were extracted from the CBD by endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography and sphincterotomy. After 7 days, the disease process was complicated with a subhepatic abscess formation which was managed conservatively. Finally, the patient was discharged home in fair condition after 12 days of hospitalization.

Conclusions: Ascariasis should be considered in endemic areas and early endoscopic intervention and medical therapy can be effective for extrahepatic involvement.

Keywords: Abdominal abscess; abdominal pain; ascariasis; common bile duct; endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography.

Any good CBD cartridges with no THC?

Republished by Plato

Not sure if this is the place to ask, I’m just getting started with vaping so I’m sorry if I sound dumb! I’m currently using a THC cart but I’m back in a state where that’s not legal and I don’t always like how it makes me feel so I was wondering if there’s cartridges that are just CBD that you can order online? If so, what are some good companies? I don’t want to just order from anywhere. Thank you for any information!
