New York Cannabis Delivery LicenseNew York cannabis delivery license may resemble what other states have done with their cannabis delivery, but we won’t know for sure until legalization passes and final regulations are drafted in the Big City.

If the legalization bill passes New York would be joining the list of states that have opened their cannabis industry, and with Governor Cuomo’s endorsement of the bill it is a closer reality for new yorkers.

This time we bring you all the facts we have so far on the delivery license, while we wait for the legalization process to happen and the regulations to be finalised. If you are interested in starting a cannabis delivery business in New York you may be interested in start getting that business plan ready.

What is a Delivery License?

“Delivery”  means  the  direct delivery of cannabis products by a retail licensee, microbusiness licensee, or delivery license holder to a cannabis consumer.

A delivery license will authorize the delivery of cannabis and cannabis products by licensees independent of another adult-use cannabis license.

RELATED POST: NEW YORK CANNABIS MICROBUSINESS LICENSE

Cannabis Delivery License Limitations

 No person may have a direct or indirect financial  or controlling  interest  in  more than one delivery license. Such licenses are intended to promote social and economic equity applicants as provided  for  in this chapter.

Cannabis Delivery license regulations

Once the bill passes, the state cannabis advisory  board will provide recommendations to the  board  for  the  application  process,  license  criteria,  and  scope of licensed activities for this class of license. There is no time period established so far for these regulations to be drafted

Delivery License Characteristics

We’ll have to wait for the bill to pass before we know more about New York cannabis delivery license. So far there is not much information of how the licensing requirements and characteristics are.

Among the few rules that are already defined, the bill states that each delivery licensee  may have a total of no more than twenty-five individuals, or the equivalent thereof, providing full-time paid delivery services, per week under  one license.

Editors Note: This is a guest post.

According to a careful estimate, the marijuana market is expected to reach $90.4 billion by 2026. In 2020, the marijuana industry was valued at $20.5 billion. These numbers clearly show that Marijuana is going to lead the world of e-cigarettes in the coming years. So, if you are wondering how it will take over the industry, you have come to the right place because this blog is just the thing that you need to read to know about the future of both Marijuana and the vape industry.

Why Marijuana is becoming more popular?

Marijuana activists have a lot to throw light on the pressing issue of the war on drugs. They have made it a point that Marijuana is not a drug that should remain illegal. Therefore, all the people who are in prisons serving their sentences related to marijuana felonies should be released.

The issue has become a highlight after the activists pointed out racial discrimination by the state on the war on drugs. Therefore, it is not a domestic issue anymore, and it has been the highlight in the past few years.

The marijuana activists highlight the problems created by Marijuana being illegal. Researchers have been busy discovering the amazing medicinal uses of Marijuana and its potential to treat chronic diseases like cancer. Therefore, awareness regarding the use of Marijuana is doing the trick, and many people are socially accepting it. The recently elected president of the United States of America, Joe Biden, made it a point in his election campaign that when he comes to power, he’ll work on the regulations to declare Marijuana legal and end the racial discrimination in the name of the war on drugs.

All these factors are contributing to the popularity of the marijuana industry, and the indicators are very obvious that soon it’ll be the most growing industry of the decade.

What Will Happen to the Electronic Cigarette Industry?

Many industry specialists speculate that the popularity or Marijuana might be the end of the electronic cigarette industry just like e-cigarettes put a mark on the tobacco industry. There is a reasonable substance in this argument; however, it is still far from true that the e-cigarette industry will face an ultimate demise due to the rise of Marijuana.

The United Kingdom is supposedly the biggest market of e-cigarettes in the world, and they are passing regulations to make it legal all across the states to end the use of tobacco. It means that the vape industry is still evolving, and the claims that it’ll be out of business soon are very immature. However, there is no denying the fact that the vape industry needs to evolve and adapt to the marijuana industry; otherwise, it’ll not be long before e-cigarettes become a thing of the past.

How Can the Vape Industry Cope with The Emerging Marijuana Industry?

All the above discussion gives rise to a very simple question: What vape industry should prevent its doom? The answer is quite simple. Vape and electronic cigarette companies need to adapt to the changing world. For example, companies such as V2 are already adapting to this change by introducing CBD infused products and marijuana-friendly e-cigarettes.

Vape companies need to keep it in mind while launching new products to look for CBD products more than nicotine. It means that vape juices will need an upgrade if they want to be relevant in the market. Another important thing to keep in mind is that there is going to be a lot of competition, and the only way to survive it is to go green.

Different strains of Marijuana are used for different reasons. Therefore, vape companies should provide an all-inclusive solution to the customers looking for their choice strain.

The vape saloons will also need to adapt to these changes, and they have to provide all marijuana strains and their e-cigarette variants under one roof so that they don’t grow out of business in the coming years. Apart from all this, the different states also need to realize the rising popularity of Marijuana among the masses and many medical uses of marijuana and pass regulations in the larger public interests.

New Jersey Cannabis Manufacturer License: How to Apply

New Jersey Cannabis Manufacturer License

New Jersey Cannabis Manufacturer License

Last month New Jersey made history by signing three bills into law, finally regulating the use of recreational marijuana in the State, and becoming one of the 14 states to legalize the recreational use of cannabis for adults 21 and older.

Right now it’s not possible to buy recreational cannabis anywhere in New Jersey, however, experts say it will be at least six months before the first legal cannabis sale will take place in New Jersey.

So, now it’s the perfect time to start preparing for the endeavor. Take into consideration that the licensing application can be tricky and confusing, that’s why you should always contact a professional to help you with your application.

What is a New Jersey Cannabis Manufacturer License

A Class 2 Cannabis Manufacturer License is a legal document that allows its owner to process cannabis items in the State of New Jersey by purchasing or otherwise obtaining usable cannabis, manufacturing, preparing, and packaging cannabis items, and selling, and optionally transporting, these items to other cannabis manufacturers, cannabis wholesalers, or cannabis retailers, but not to consumers.

A cannabis Manufacturer License shall be issued by the Cannabis Regulatory Commission (CRC) for the premises at which the cannabis is going to be manufactured.

RELATED POST: NEW JERSEY CANNABIS MICROBUSINESS LICENSE

RELATED POST: NEW JERSEY CULTIVATION LICENSE

How to apply for New Jersey Cannabis Manufacturer License

In order to apply for a Class 2 Cannabis Manufacturer License, the applicant must:

  • Apply for a license in the manner described in the latest legislation and the CRC;
  • Have at least one significantly involved person who has resided in this State for at least two years as of the date of the application, and provide proof that this person and any other person with financial interest who also has decision making authority for the cannabis manufacturer listed on an application submitted under the legislation is 21 years of age or older;
  • Meet the requirements of any rule or regulation adopted by the CRC;
  • Provide for each of the following persons to undergo a criminal history record background check: any owner, other than an owner who holds less than a five percent investment interest in the cannabis manufacturer or who is a member of a group that holds less than 20 percent investment interest in the cannabis cultivator and no member of that group holds more than a five percent interest in the total group investment, and who lacks the authority to make controlling decisions regarding the cannabis cultivator’s operations; any director; any officer; and any employee.

According to the legislation, the CRC has to adopt rules and regulations that:

  • Provide for the annual renewal of the Class 2 Cannabis Manufacturer license;
  • Establish application, licensure, and renewal of licensure fees for cannabis manufacturers;
  • Require cannabis items manufactured by cannabis manufactures to be tested;
  • Require a cannabis manufacturer to meet any public health and safety standards, industry best practices, and all applicable regulations established by the commission related to the manufacturing of cannabis items;

In relation to the fees, the legislation requires that they comply with the following:

  • They shall be in the form of a schedule that imposes a greater fee for premises with more square footage; and
  • Shall be deposited in the “Cannabis Regulatory, Enforcement Assistance, and Marketplace Modernization Fund”

A person who has been issued a license or conditional license shall display the license or conditional license at the premises at all times when cannabis items are being manufactured.

New Jersey Cannabis Manufacturer License Restrictions

For a period of 24 months after the effective date of the legislation it is unlawful for any owner, part owner, stockholder, officer, or director of any corporation, or any other person engaged in any retailing of any cannabis items to engage in the manufacturing of any cannabis items or to own either whole or in part, or to be a shareholder, officer or director of a corporation or association, directly or indirectly, interested in any cannabis manufacturer.

This basically means that, if you own a cannabis dispensary in New Jersey, you won’t be able to have a controlling interest in any cannabis manufacturing operation.

During the first 24 months, the holder of a Class 2 Cannabis Manufacturer License may hold one other license to operate another cannabis establishment, but it can’t be a Class 3 Cannabis Wholesaler License or a Class 5 Cannabis Retailer License.

Following that 24 month period, a cannabis license holder shall be authorized to hold a Class 1 Cannabis Cultivator License, a Class 2 Cannabis Manufacturer license, a Class 5 Cannabis Retailer license, and a Class 6 Cannabis Delivery license concurrently, provided that no license holder shall be authorized to concurrently hold more than one license of each class, except for an alternative treatment center that was deemed, during the 24 month period, to have an additional Class 5 Cannabis Retailer license for each satellite dispensary that was authorized and established by the alternative treatment center pursuant to the latest legislation These additional retailer licenses only permit the retail operation of each satellite dispensary, and shall not be replaced by any other class of cannabis establishment distributor, or delivery service license.

If you need more information about the licensing process, it is recommended that you contact an expert in the field so that you can get the necessary guidance in your endeavor.

Moira, played by actress Catherine O’Hara, is far from domesticated – to say the least.

Coming from a ton of money, she is totally out of her element when it comes to cooking or being a Mother for that fact.

She decides, however, that she needs to create her aunt’s famous enchiladas recipe for a family dinner to restore her role as a good Mother, and at the same time commissions David, her son, to help.

David Rose, played by actor Dan Levy, has some mad skills, but absolutely NONE in the kitchen!

The two of them together are basically a hot mess and who knows if the family dinner turned out or not, but what we do know how to make is weed-infused enchiladas that work!

As the series continues on, a re-branding and refreshing of the Budd Motel are in serious order.

Johnny, played by actor Eugene Levy decides that they need to offer something ‘more’.

His decision to source and offer cinnamon buns doesn’t exactly turn out the way he thought they would, but we bet if he offered cinnamon buns with weed, he’d have bookings at the motel for a year in advance!

Cannabis Cinnamon Buns

Warm, Gooey and Intoxicating!

Prep Time: 1 hour 30 minutes

Course: Dessert

Keyword: (Cannabutter), Cinnamon

Servings: 4 people

Author: Steph Van De Ven

Cost: 40

  • 3/4 cup Cannabis milk
  • 2 1/4 tsp Active Yeast
  • 1/4 cup Sugar Finely Granulated
  • 1 Egg yolk Room temp – not straight from the fridge
  • 1/4 cup Cannabutter
  • 3 cups Bread Flour
  • 3/4 tsp Salt or a dash – same thing!

Cinnamon Filling

  • 1/3 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Cinnamon Finely ground
  • 1/4 cup Cannabutter

Cinnamon Roll Frosting

  • 4 oz Cream Cheese full fat
  • 3 tbsp Cannabutter
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract fresh,pure organic if possible
  • Using warm Cannabis Milk, and add it to your mixing bowl. Using your electric mixer slowly sprinkle yeast on top. You’ll know your yeast has activated if it begins to foam after a few minutes. If it hasn’t, then start over; your cannabis milk was either too hot or too cold.

  • Once you see foam, add in sugar, egg, egg yolk and cannabis butter. Mix,mix,mix! Next, stir in flour and salt with a wooden spoon until a dough begins to form.

  • Use your dough hook or hands. If using your electric mixer, knead the dough on medium speed for about 8 minutes. Alternatively, use your hands to knead the dough for 8-10 minutes on a well-floured surface. The dough should feel slightly sticky and form a nice ball. Next step!
  • Transfer dough to your bowl, ( some bakers use a little oil here, spread it all over the bowl, an dplacedough inside. Your call, but it helps. Then, cover with plastic wrap and a warm towel. Allow dough to rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

  • After dough has doubled in size, transfer the dough to a well-floured surface and roll out into a 14×9 inch rectangle. Spread your Cannabis butter over dough, evenly, leaving a ¼ inch at the far side of the dough. ( the side furthest away from you)

Cinnamon Filling

  • In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon. Use your hands to sprinkle mixture over the buttered dough evenly. It will stick perfectly!

  • Roll up your dough tightly, (for beginners: like you’re rolling up a bath towel) starting from the 9 inch side. Be sure to seal the edges of the dough.

  • Cut into 1 inch sections with a serrated knife. You should get about 9 large pieces.

  • Place cinnamon rolls in a parchment paper-lined 9×9 inch baking pan or round 9 inch cake pan. Cover with plastic wrap and a warm towel and let rise again for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Remove plastic wrap and towel and bake cinnamon rolls for 20-25 minutes or until just slightly golden brown on the edges. It sounds weird, but you want to underbake them a little so they stay soft in the middle. Let them cool for 5-7 minutes before frosting. Seriously! You have to wait before you frost.

Frosting (do this while rolls are baking in oven)

  • Using your electric mixer, combine cream cheese, cannabis butter, powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Beat it until it’s smooth and fluffy. Spread over top of your baked cinnamon rolls (after waiting the horrible 5-7 minutes to let them cool down!)

Here are some other things we bet Moira & David would be able to make a little easier.

Follow our fun and step-by-step recipes below to make weed edibles everyone will love.

In one of my favorite episodes, Stevie Budd and David steal a stash of weed from a guest at the motel’s room and smoke it.

I love this because not only was it hilarious, but it proves that Schitt’s Creek is a weed-positive TV series all-in-all. It’s Canadian, after all so that would only make sense.

If you haven’t watched it yet – I highly suggest you start and make some of the Schitt’s Creek-inspired recipes here!

And for the fans who have seen it – maybe it’s time to watch it again?! It is definitely worth it.
