With Autumn just around the corner comes many favorite activities for your friends and family. Fall has so much to offer, from apple picking, Halloween, corn mazes, hayrides, and now this small farm in Wisconsin is introducing something new to add to our family traditions.
A Fall Twist
Leatherberry Acres is a small farm in Baraboo Wisconsin, a great place to take your kids to get in touch with the outdoors by exploring the farm or even checking out their petting zoo! This year, however, they are introducing something that has not been seen before, a hemp maze! The goal of this attraction is to bring the fun of a corn maze and combine that by educating the general public on the benefits of hemp. This maze will feature 4 acres of organic industrial hemp that have signs throughout the entire maze explaining the history of hemp, the difference between hemp and cannabis, and the benefits of it.
“I wanted to educate the public on what hemp is about. Everybody thinks that hemp is marijuana,” Leatherberry explained. “It’s in the same family but the THC is bred out, but people don’t know that. They all think we are growing pot.”
Here at Hemp Helps it is our mission to break the stigma surrounding hemp and educating the general public on all of the amazing things hemp and CBD can do for you. It’s awesome to see these farmers not only educating their communities but educating children in a fun way to show them how harmless hemp really is.
On top of all of the previous attractions they had, this season Leatherberry will be adding two more sunflower mazes, a petting zoo, ziplining, a corn maze, a pumpkin cannon, and plenty of other fun family activities!
